My car is inbound and should arrive the 2nd of Sep. I will post pics of the before and after as soon as possible.
Here is what I ordered:
2006 Cadillac CTS in silver smoke with California luxury pkg and DVD nav.
Here is what I am adding:
Factory CTS-V front end and side skirts
Diablo Fatboy 20" wheels w/ Falken Azenis ST115 tires
Stainless steel exhaust tips
Embroidered Cadillac carpets
Pyle DVD player with two 7" head rest and 1 visor screen
and of course I will tint the windows and lower it.

That's where I need help. How far do I lower it? Anyone with pics of their car lowered?

You may wonder why I didn't just get the CTS-V? The insurance is higher, I wanted an automatic, and gas is getting outragous!!!

Thanks for any help you can give. :dancefool

Okay, it's Sep. 5th and it hasn't arrived. I will update you on the status at a later date.

September 13th

Okay, it has been in transit since August. Where the H*** is my car! I am starting to get a little worried now. It is probably on top of some rig that ran out of gas. They will call me soon and let me know my car is being held for ransom. Pay up 500 gallons of gas, or we leave the Cadillac in Idaho! :Bang

It has arrived !!!

Sept. 15th and my car arrived at the dealership. :dancefool I will post pics under a new link. I will update the pics as I finish personalizing my car. It should take about two weeks. :wrench

They shippers have facilities at all plants. Car going out west would have been put on a train and sent to a GM railhead that services your area, usually a GM assembly plant in your region. For instance, where I am in upper Michigan all vehicles come thru the Janesville, WI. railhead at the GM assembly plant there.

So your car probably went to Janesville from Lansing by train, transfer cars onto train heading west and left the next day. My 2002 Firebird left Ste Therese on a Thuesday, arrive Janesville Wis on Sat, leave by truck on following Tueday and arrived at the dealer about 1pm on Weds.

Prior to 911 you could have tracked your car with the RR. All you would need is for the dealer to call GM dealer services for the train car and tracking number, log on the the RR web site and find out where it is at any given time, e.g, passed thru Boulder CO as 9:15pm on date etc, they know where the trains and all rail cars are 24-7. After 9-11 they would only allow registered customers of the RR to do this, no individuals whatsoever. I know of one person who tracked his new 2001 Chevy PU from the Flint assembly plant all the way to CA. He timed it to be there when the train pulled in and then waited for them to unload. Even talked his way into the railhead, took photos of his truck in the train car, as they unloaded it and parked it for stagging by the truck shipping company. Dealer was only a hr away from railhead but I seem to recall it took almost a week for it to get there, 1000 of cars/trucks (all GM models) arrived at Railhead. He had connections to someone at the Assembly plant in Flint who took photos of his truck as it came off the line and he provided him with all the info and how to track it. He posted the photos, I saved them but they got lost when I got a new PC.

She's here and she's in need of surgery

Okay, I went and finalized the deal today. She is a dirty, ugly beast, but we have the technology to fix her. I took a few pics just after she rolled off the truck and I will include them when I post the finishing pics. I am thinking of getting some illuminated door sills. Anyone have them or know of where I can get them cheaper than at http://www.apsisusa.com/ApsisUsa/Do...uminated Light/cadillac - door sill plate.htm

Thanks :Beer
