Hey everyone..........I'm new to this site and just bought a 2000 Lincoln LS-8 with the sport package (and also 100,000 miles). So far, I've had to do valve cover gaskets. It also looks like I'll be doing the upper and lower ball joints so that should be a treat :Beer SO, my question is "are there any other problems that come along around 100,000 miles. I've still got 2000 miles left on the dealer's used car warranty and would like to get everything fixed before that expires. Thanks a lot!

PS> Anybody with detailing concerns (interior/exterior/whatever) just ask me. Its what I do for a living.

EL, You can buy this on U.S. 301, it in front of Grainger on Tampa East Blvd. The name of the place is Auto Body Express. I know they did have it. But its been a couple of years since I bought any. Mabey try and give them a call.

I'll give them a call to see if they have it and get a price. I would like to see what if any price breaks can be found online. Factor in shipping as well before i put my money into it.

140,000

My 2000 LS V-8 just hit the 140,000 mile mark....

Just in case anyone is curious, I have done the following work on this car...

Of course I will not mention brake jobs etc, that is a gimme...

I had a timing chain failure, it happened @ 113,000 mile mark.....
I did this repair, and it has been running as good as new.....

Replaced both valve cover gaskets....

Replaced almost all of the Cop Coils...

Due to battery drain issues, I had to replace the drivers door module...

Had to replace the rear drivers side window regulator..

Had to replace the coolant tank, due to minor cracks that were leaking..

Had the passenger side front inside door handle break, and had to replace.

Overall I have been very pleased with this car. The only major issue was the timing chain failure, and this was not an easy job to do, but it is back to running like new....

I hope I can get another 140,000 !!!!

Scott
