For sale is a coil spring converted 1997 Mark VIII. (130k on eng) I owned it for a couple years, then traded it to my dad for an old Mustang years ago. Unfortunately, he passed a couple years ago back, so I need to either transport it up to TN or sell it. Due to his poor health, he wasn’t able to drive so it sat for approx 7 years.

I noticed while I was down there last time, that there’s a rear brake line rusted out and it needs a fuel pump. One of the times I was able to coax it into running, the a/c even still works!

Anyway, it now sits in NE Florida. Asking $2k and bring a car trailer. I have clear title(in my name now). If your interested, email me at espinks9906@gmail.com

My memory isn’t what it used to be, so I’m adding some key points.

“If you know anything about these things, you’ll know the problems with the blend air door, the oil filter adapter gasket and/or housing, air suspension issues, expensive rear shock mount replacement, expensive coil pack issues, etc. I’ll give examples of what has been done in the past…..mostly by me, before my father took possession of the car.

As soon as I got the car, I went through it and addressed many issues that were known to that model. 1)One was that I replaced the gasket & oil filter adapter housing with Ford parts. 2) Even though air suspension was what I did for a living, I nipped it in the bud and converted it to coil springs to make it bulletproof. I also installed by own solid shock mounts at the same time. 3) All spark plugs & coil packs were replaced with Motorcraft parts. 4) The front & rear brake rotors were replaced as well as brake pads.

One of the last things that was done to the car, was the blend air door was repaired (one of the few things I didn’t do myself) by a dealership I used to work at. This allows temperature change adjustment(Lincoln labor & Lincoln parts) for the a/c & heat.”
