Title says it all.
The stock octostars were peeling pretty bad so this was my replacement of choice. The wheels were $50 at a local U-Pull-It, $30 for cleaners, primer & paint, $25 for the lug nuts and $30 for the stainless beauty rings. $135 total. I swapped the same tires over and balanced. The axle stubs on the rear also got a little blast of rustoleum black, to make them look nice. I'm pretty happy with how it came out.

That is pretty nice... I've been looking for some winter wheels for my LS might take a look at that route.

With the move to everyone putting on black rims, I would prefer them be steelies (or at least same design aluminum) than stylized aluminum that you don't really see the details because they are flat black. I have been eyeballing some of those for my 89 Cougar (which is wearing some pretty good looking Mark VIII chrome wheels).

I wish the 17 inch LS spares were wider, they are a bad size for a temp spare and as a road wheel at 5 inches wide.

Do the LS wheels fit? I've read that we can either use Taurus wheels or swap the hubs :(

BTW, for those looking for these wheels, they have 18 ovals. Any other steel Taurus wheels are 15"

LS wheels have more offset generally so they might not look right but they are the correct bolt pattern and hub bore. I was after a 17 inch spare tire that would clear Cobra 13 inch brakes. However the LS 17 inch spare isn't really a "space saver" and doesn't fit well in our spare tire well.

LS spare compared to the Mark VIII spare (and there are those chrome 10 spokes on my Cougar next to it):
