Yeah was supposed to be paying 150 $ but yeah i like to eat out alot so the guy was ok with 136 $...... um but anyway if anyone has any ideas or suggestions im open to any of them, all I know is im going to drive on this motor(4.1 L v8) until i can afford a 350, then take it to the mechanic that I know and boom, I'll have as much power, actually more power even then my dads 81 corvette cuz he keeps it stock which sucks. This car is actually not even running right know today I put new serpatine belt on, and figured it would fire right up? well it didnt and i gave the battery a suffiecient enough charge. Im thinking its the starter celloid or something of that manner, I just hope i dont have to buy a new starter cuz i really cant afford 200 bucks right know or so for one.

but like I said any other 80's or for that matter any of my fellow deville pimps and players let me know how yours is setup for ideas, Im still wondering if the cruise control still works? do those normally go regulary or what?
also have to get the ac pumping cold like from 1986. My goal here guys is to make this thing showroom quality and have the money and the resources(mechanic friend)to achieve this. Thanks for comments and replies. oh yeah also i just hope this car can hotbox my old one had weather stripping issues. lol jk?

Does anyone know if I can get a chevy 350 motor and put it in this car eventually is their a way to hook the 350 up properly to the fwd tranny? I hope there is cuz if there is my mechanic friend will tell me/ do it for me.

Thats awsome you found one dirt cheap, i don't know for sure if you could drop a 350 in but if it has a 4T60E tranny you should make sure it can handle it, i've heard that those trannys can't handle much power, and i know for a fact that there not real reliable.

There's a guy with a turbocharged 4.9 in a Fiero with the 4T60E transmission putting 289hp and 350ft/lbs to the wheels that's made several hundred 1/4 mile passes with no problems from the motor or tranny.

Other than that, no DeVille before 1991 came with the 4T60E, I'd say the car has a 4T60, or something worse possibly in it. If you want a motor swap, throw a 4.9 and a 4T60E in it. Putting a 350 into an 86 DeVille will cost more money than it's worth, as you will have to convert the car to RWD, and for that kind of money you could have a very powerful 4.9 car.
