Selling my '94 Mark VIII. Runs/drives great. Previous owner replaced the air ride compressor and struts, the rack & pinion, and timing chain. Also has newer tires. I drive this car daily to keep the mileage off of my newer cars (and because it's more interesting lol). It does not leak or burn oil and the tranny shifts nice. The check engine light flashes from time to time but has not demonstrated any drivability or idle issues.

The car is very solid but the rocker panel on the drivers side is shot. The passenger rocker panel has bubbling paint. These two points are not noticeable by most casual observers. Otherwise there is no rust or bubbling paint on the rest of the body. The floors, frame rails, strut towers, etc are in excellent shape for a WI car.

It does have 180k on it. Blue Book with the miles says that the car in "fair" condition is worth $2100. I want $1300 for it.

For reference, I'm located 30 minutes south of Madison WI, or 30 minutes north of Rockford IL. Local pick up only.

Thanks!

You'll never sell it for $2100 .... But good luck not trying to be rude ...

But at 180,000 miles you are looking at maybe $1500 to $1800 and this ecconomy.

From time to time we get a few new members get fustrated or pissed that no one is buying their cars ...

Also remember most of us already have Mark VIIIs and we know the current market value of these cars.

If we are buying we are looking for something special or from someone who has something very unique ...

Good Luck with the sale ...

Thanks for the good intentions, but you might note that I said I'm looking for $1300 which is $200 - $500 below what you're saying it might be worth :)

Don't worry about KK he is still young and needs to be respectful of his elders. :D

$1000 FIRM if bought by Saturday (seriously).

I've found a Mustang that I really want and I know it won't last the weekend. After that car goes then I'm no longer in a hurry and will stick near my asking price.

I should say though that if someone has a Mustang for sale (fox or sn95) I have a little bit of cash to add.

Good job!

Very rare to get more than you want for a car.

There's a fool born every minute!

Good Job ... Then again I know a guy who just purchased a 96 sebring convert. with 110,000 miles and dented all to hell, with no stereo, and a leaking tranny for $1800.

I looked at it and said why? Car wasn't worth $500 in the condition ...

Guess there is always one out there .. it's just finding that one when you need to sell it...

Great Sale.

Thanks. I don't think that just over $1500 was that bad of a deal for this car though. The rocker was shot, but there was no other rust, everything worked, the timing chains were replaced, the air ride and front suspension was replaced, it didn't burn or use oil, etc, etc. That thing took me 150 miles round trip several days a week. These cars are alot more durable than I thought they were.

congrats..... its so awesome selling a car......unless you love it and still see it everyday and see its declining condition.....o god im gonna be sick....i miss my ls

Oh they are durable it's just you need to be an owner to understand that ...

It's not the $1500 or $2000 isn't the value of the car it just they don't carry their value which doesn't bother me as I'll drive mine until it dies.

Also you'll never get out of the car what you put into it.
