1998 Mark VIII Air Ride Trouble

Not a line leak, solenoid to one of your front bags is probably leaking internally, replace both solenoids and it should be good. Cheap and easy fix. Your bags do not sound as if they are leaking as it would do it all the time not just randomly, but the solenoids would, and would be internal so they cannot be leak checked. This happened to mine after putting in new front air struts. One of the new solenoids was leaking internally and came out in 2 pieces when checked. Replaced and all is good now.
Good idea and never crossed my mind. Appreciate the help...experience answers lots of questions.

Had a problem with my rear bags deflating after 2 days.
Found the problem by wiggling the rear solenoid and hearing a air leak.
Replaced the o- rings and problem solved.

Glutten for punishment having 2 of these beasts. My 98 is still an ongoing project after almost 2 months and i'm a ford tech lol.
Coming along though, it all works now as it should, just doing a hub swap for some decent wheels. Pics, sometime in the future here lol.

You are correct! I have had the 98 since 2011, it had 72,000 (now at 106,000 or so) on the odometer but needed a few things. Until this AR issue it was entirely reliable other than the accursed blend door. The 93 just turned over 78,000 miles - the car is immaculate in and out. Unfortunately, the stereo system is defunct, the guys that were rebuilding them aren't and I am completely unsure of the next move. I will say this: this is my second Gen 1 model, and it just doesn't quite measure up to the 98. Neither did the 95 I sold earlier. Being a Ford tech has to be an advantage...

The stereo in the 93 is an easy fix. Go buy yourself an aftermarket pioneer, alpine, kenwood with bluetooth, get the wiring kit and get it installed. Will be loads better than the factory unit. Ya being a Ford tech is the only way my 98 didn't end up in the scrap yard. It had every issue the second gens could have and loads more. Did not know this when i bought it sight unseen from bc and had it shipped to ab, found out when it got here and by then it was to late, i owned it. Car would have cost well over 20k if someone had to pay me to work on it at shop rate and all the parts, and it has 162000mi on it. These cars are dam near impossible to find here in Canada and anyone who has one wants upwards of 8k plus.
