1st gen 93-96 Cowl hood installation

Im new to the forum i have a 96 mark viii lsc with a 2.1 kennebell installed. Car was recently tuned and the last step for me has been the cowl hood installation. The hood I purchased is from super coupe performance. I noticed many guys on here have this same cowl hood and i was wondering if anyone else had any issues with installation? I am able to get the hood lined up pretty easily but hood will only catch the safety latch. Ive tried adjusting the hood and latch in every combination i could come up with and was wondering if anyone had any useful tips or experienced similar issues

Real pain to d. Had to take a carbide burr and trim glass on hood around latch till we had clearance before it would latch.
Polished stainless gat struts from 96 stand look really good with it too.
