My drivers seat has not moved backward or forward for about 1 year, I have lived with that problem. But now the back rest part only goes forward and backward on the left side of the back rest, the right side seems to be dead. So the back rest can not be adjusted anymore.

What are my options? Buy an entire seat at a junk yard or some sort? Or could it be some parts inside the seat? Or maybe a fuse that is not located inside the seat at all? Someone besides myself will be driving the car soon so I have to address this problem. Thanks for your expertise.

The back rest issue seals it. Your only reasonable option is to replace the seat.

Ok so search a junkyard or would you recommend buying it new from lincoln? I need the bottom part of the seat and the backrest as well correct?

AFAIK, you can't even get the seats from Lincoln anymore. You wouldn't want to. Just the cover for the seat bottom cost me around $700 a couple of years ago. I'd try to get a complete seat assembly from a junkyard. You don't have to get the same color as yours. You can switch the seat covers and the the plastic trim from your seat.

Ok thanks, is it possible to just buy the seat motor? I see junk yards sell that also.

Sure, but that won't help at all with the "But now the back rest part only goes forward and backward on the left side of the back rest, the right side seems to be dead. So the back rest can not be adjusted anymore." That's a known mechanical issue with the seat back and Lincoln says the whole back must be replaced to fix this. As for your other issues, you might not even need a motor, it could be wiring. There's a lot of troubleshooting to do to figure out what you need, but there isn't much point since the seat back has to be replaced anyway.

Ok so an entire seat it is... found one on a website partshotline.com Can someone tell me where to find out which seat I have.
