2002 LSE Restoration

Does the liner completely cover the amp? If so, my preference would be to make sure that there is ample air for proper cooling. Not sure I would hide it without the use of a small fan.

The THX amp is located in the same area from the factory.

It is behind the liner and there is air flow. I've had the amp running all day in over 100° heat and it didn't miss a beat. A friend had his in the spare tire well and during the same drive (Mania IV for those that know) and his failed (overheated) a couple of times. The amps were of similar power.

My point is that ford would not place the amp there if it didnt have airflow.

That statement basically says everything the manufacturer does is golden. Which we know it isn't.

Example: plastic timing chain tensioners. LOL

Also, Renzo will be powering a much bigger sub. More heat from the amp depending on his volume tastes.

Well im not saying that but i have yet to have any issues with any of the 3 amps in my car. The side mounted amp is the four channel, the sub amp is the one under the rear deck.

Tinting is done !!!

Ok so now we move on to the 4th phase

if you don't like how the rings are a little smaller than the reflector I believe it was Alax that did a write up on how to spread them, the look good though, I would have just pulled the orange reflector out if I did that

We thought on that and although pulling the lenses made it a cleaner look we decided that most everyone is doing that so at some point it became do we do everything like everyone else or make it a little different so we decided to stay with that look. My body shop buddy did show me how to clear over the lenses to make them darker so that may be an option we use even for the tail lights. Thanks for the thumbs up its coming together and alot of guys like you on here have had great input and direction!!!!

Alax has a good video on youtube showing his entire process for angel eyes install, including spreading the ring to match the headlight reflectors.

Nice install! I have been afraid to install angel eyes because I have painted bezels and I thought you had to glue the ring to the bezel (didn't want to ruin paint), but yours seems to be on the reflector part.

Which rings did you go with?
