2003 lincoln ls flipkey

Starts the car. Unlocks and locks. Rolls all windows down. Normal key and fob in one
 
Believe it or not eBay. 60 bucks. I had a locksmith cut it which was a pain in the ass for them. Machine and hand file. 7 bucks. And I programmed myself. Two step program. Key and fob
 
what kind of distance does it have when you push the buttons? The fobs I have now don't work unless I am really close to the car.
 
I had one very, very similar to that one. It lasted less than a year and I was a little concerned about the weight on the ignition cylinder and how far it stuck out from the panel.
 
The weight couldnt be any worse than the keys that have a million things hanging off the ring(s)

EXACTLY!!!! I have nothing attached to my key. I keep the remote and key separate. I have recently read about the excessive weight of key rings ruining the cylinder and requiring an expensive replacement.
 
Idk. I'm always semi close to the car when activating it. I would say standard distance. I keep all my other key deprecates. Had it 1 month so far and love it. Worth every penny but the catch is you need two keys to self program. I happen to have 4 now haha

how does it start the car? I thought these cars do not have remote start, so did you have that installed as well?

it starts perfect every time. its a key and FOB in one. i do not have remote start, if your referring to preheating the car in winter time from inside your house.

i received a bunch of compliments so far. everyone thinks i have a 2010 lincoln or newer, which i don't obviously.

i have used it for weeks now and it appears its holding up.

its a flip key, the key word here being key, you stick it in the dash and turn, isnt that how you use your key?

Lol good question! It has been returned already. It was eating batteries. It was a love hate. I love the form factor of it but the quality was not that good which seems to be the norm with these. I used the 30 day return policy and got my money Back!

Yeah, all car keys (unless specifically for trunk) usually turn the cars on, along with opening doors and locking them...i misinterpreted "turns car on" to mean that somehow it turned the car on a different way than normal like by remote. :slam

well actually buttons can also lock doors, there is even buttons that can pop the trunk, honk the horn, and even roll all of the windows down!:D
