2003 lincoln town car - $5700

price seems to be higher than the book value (for me it's worth $4000)
test drove it and it was silky smooth, interior and exterior are fair. All stuff seems to be working.
what do you guys think?

I think its a good looking car. The paint is very shiny and clean, plus the interior is in very good condition. Looks like no scuffs or marks on the paint which is good. Rust..if any. If the engine is clean, along with figuring out the VIN situation I'd approach him with your offer. I'd buy that car in a second.

the pictures are really nice but in reality there are scratches, paint needs more waxing, interior a bit of a cleaning. the seller wouldn't sell it below 5k because it's a black on black combination. it's nice but there are better options out there.

this way you are only over by $500 and if they do not take walk away.
then they may go down on the price because the car will set there. then come back in a month and offer $4,000.00
