2003 LS Front Bumper issues...

So a few weeks ago a small animal decided it would be a good idea to run in front of me on the highway... enough said my front bumper cover (the plastic part) is completely toast. I'm seeing a lot of 2002 bumpers available, will these fit the 2003 model?? Also, I had an idea about modding the bottom grille of the new bumper to allow for a black mesh, anyone have any advice?

Personally. What I would do is get the Gen 2 LSE Front bumper!

Looks alot better and while your at it go ahead and spend about the same for the norm one and have it lookin better.

there are some fitment issues going from one gen to the other. There will be a gap under the head lights and you will need new fog lights and brackets. I'm not 100 percent sure if you need anything else

If he has a 2003 LS he won't have any fitment issues. The gap under the headlights is if you put a Gen 2 bumper on a Gen 1 LS. The headlights on the Gen 2 LS are slightly larger then those on the Gen 1.

So the gen 2 LSE bumper will fit a 2003 LS? I like the bumper a lot actually and the extra cash would be worth it, but that is only if it wouldn't cost any cash on top of that to get it to fit.

I feel like every bumper I see is either a 00-02 or a 04-06 fit...

Yes the Gen 2 LSE bumper will fit with no problem. Just bolt right up. Remember Gen 2 LSes start at 03 and up. You will need to buy the fog lights and fog light brackets for new fog lights.

So I know nothing about where the preferred places to buy bumpers are but Bumper Wholesale has a few 04 LSE bumpers for sale, ranging from $216 to $315... as listed here: http://www.bumperwholesale.com/product/22377 Any logical reason for the price difference??

I definitely have to agree the Gen 2 LSE bumper is very very clean

It might in the long run cost you a little extra, like LeaSr77 said, Fog lights and brackets.
Plus paint...

But wold be deff worth it all in the end

Anyone know of any trusted sources for 2nd gen LSE bumpers? Bumpers wholesale has a few with about a $100 price difference and no real pics of the bumpers so I'm cautious of buying from them

I feel like every bumper I see is either a 00-02 or a 04-06 fit...

a 1st gen LS is 2000-2002. They made three different bumpers for 1st gen's, base, sport and LSE.

a 2nd gen LS is 2003-2006. the made three different bumpers for 2nd gens as well. Base, sport, and LSE (all 06's came with the LSE bumper)
