2004 LSE brake pad upgrade suggestions

I am asking for what a good upgrade to my brake pads may be. I seem to have been routinely getting OEM grade, but I was looking for a little more performance in stopping distance.
This is a commuter car, so I don't need racing/rally grade.
However, driving on the DC Beltway I've had to haul down more frequently from cruise speeds, so I'm asking for a better commute/highway cruise upgrade suggestion.

Akebono. They are OEM for Jaguar... and an upgrade for the LS.

Many on here swear by them... including me.

Akebono Euro Ceramics are the only pads I use on my cars if they are available, for my XFR they didn’t have any so I went with Bosch Ceramics also good pads, but make some dust (little).
