I went to the dealer to have the alt checked, (they confirmed it was bad and suggested replacement), I declined their service. On the way home I noticed the nav sys was not on. Not unusual because I rarely use it in town and thought it was just turned off.
I replaced the alt, (using the higher rated one) and everything was is fine. But now the nav sys will not turn on. Pushing the on/off button has no effect. Checked all the fuses and relays and they are fine. No other issues with radio or cd player. All play fine. Just no nav sys anymore.
Checked nav cd, cleaned and fine. Just no nav sys on/off action.
Factory nav system, radio, and 6 cd player.
