Does anyone know if the transmission shift solenoid could cause a problem like this.

What speed are going when it starts to shudder?

What speed are going when it starts to shudder?

The car only hesitates when taking off from a complete stop. It does this weather it is cold or hot. But when I put the car in gear it lunges forward A bit and same goes for reverse. I read a tread on here saying if the car lunges when put into gear it could be a bad shift solenoid.

It could be a solenoid or something else this transmission is very complex it has two different over-drives...the best thing you can do to know for sure is bring the car to a trusted shop and have it hooked up to a scanner that can actually see what the transmission is doing while driving ... The best scenario would be a solenoid ...Good luck
