First of all let me bring myself up to speed on the hot /cold saga.
All at once the A/C started blowing HOT and the service parking brake light started coming on. I found that the light and the hot air issues were both due to a shorted out Dual Climate Control Valve (DCCV).
I saw melted plastic at the base of the DCCV solenoids, and after I replaced the DCC valve the service light issue was resolved. However, I now have cold air coming out of the passenger side and cool to warm air coming out of the drivers side. I did bleed the coolant system enough to get a steady stream coming out of the bleed valve.
