Just recently brought some 20 x 8.5 wheels for my 02 LS. But I'm not sure if I should go with the 245 series tire or 255. The wheels offset are +35 and the car is at stock ride height. Any suggestions???

245/35/20s. You are more likely to be rubbing with 255s.

i would reccomend the 245's only because of cost difference its not a big one but 255's are not as common as 245's so in that aspect i would reccomend the 245's also the actuall difference in size is so minscule that you would really not notice it

no they arent 255 is width not hieght
to add more confusion, there is no government standard/inspection to verify state width. In other words, if you compare a 255 series Firestone tire against a 255 Michelin, you might be suprised to find one is actually 253mm wide, and the other might be 256mm wide.

Yes they are.
The 255s are taller than the 245s. The 255 is the width but the the second number the 35 is the percentage of the 255. The 255 is wider, but aslo taller.

the stock 235/50/17 is 26.3 in, y not go with a 245/20 which is 26.8? it's the closest you'll get to stock in a 20 in tire. if u want to save money going to a 255 and throw ur speedo off even more and risk rubbing, have fun with it
