some one help me out on the math here.... if I go to a 9"wheel i can run a 275 instead of 285 (thats ok i guess) still get a 40 series so there is nice sidewall, and then stick to 50-52mm offset? sound about right? I have 275's now with a 52 offset (7.5" wheels so the tires balloon out a bit) and they fit even on the lowering springs.... so I should be good then right?

You can put the 275 on a 10" wheel man!

Think about it, most shops sell and recommend 245's or 235's on 8.5" wheels. If it was unsafe in anyway they would not do it and legally are not allowed to. You dont even need a tire that size on a 7.5. IMO that's huge on a 7.5" wide wheel.

EDIT: Wonder what the offsets are (staggered wheels should run a different front/rear offset right?)

I think its either +20 or +10 on the rear.

I'm confused! I have 275 on my 7.5 with a 52. are you saying that with a 10" wheel and the same offest that 275 should fit the same overall?

It will fit perfectly.

The few people on here with the staggered Ferrari wheels last time I checked went with 275's and when I was about to place my order for them a while back I found they sell them with 275's. When I asked a local wheel shop they said even a 255 would fit that wheel just right and they wouldnt go any lower do to insurance reasons and legalities so... draw the conclusion


That tire is freakin huge for a 7.5" wheel. There is a adverse effect with getting tires that are to large for the wheel just as there is stretching tires that are small..
