3000k hid Fog lights For a 2000 Lincoln Ls, HELP!

I installed a 3000k hid kit for my fog lights, but these lights don't seem to be giving out the yellow output that I was looking for, when you look directly at the lights they kind of look white, but when you look at the area where the light is being emitted the light looks yellow. I want the lights to look overall yellow, does anyone know of any other hid bulbs that will work better? The ones that I currently have installed are Xentecs. Or what do you guys think about putting a yellow tint over the fog lights??

The yellow tint has been done, should be able to see what it would look like by looking in the picture thread. Maybe they sent you the wrong color temp bulb? 4300 is white.

IMO my stock bulbs are yellow... compared to the factory HID's.

thats what i ws going to say, if the 3k is too white, try going lower like 2.5K or 2K

i would do the yellow film and blub becuse when the cars sittin or parted it lookz nicer then the normal yellow blub by it self but you should know thats you can get a nice sized ticket becuse of them.

You can get a ticket for yellow fogs?

if any light on the front of a vehicle id other then white you can get a ticket for it.

but with that said the cop hads to be a a**wh*** to give you a ticket for that.

i know becuse i had a mazda 1997 Rx7TT i had 90% tint all around and i added yellow fogs to it i got pulled over and the cop told me i could give you a ticked for every thing you have on this car and gave me a list of what to take off and yellow fogs where the 2nd on the list after the windsheld tint wich i couldnt see tru anyway

I'm pretty sure 90% tint would be legal in New York

Why would you want extremely yellow fogs anyways?

I think that just ruins the look of the car.

I use yellow fogs for fog and blowing snow visibility.

I lived in the north for 5 years and never found foglights to be of any real help during any type of snowstorm regardless of yellow or white.

except for amber parking lights and turn signals, how about the cars that come with yellow fog from the factory?

are you sure it wasnt 10% tint, it would be next to impossible to even tell if there was any tint if it was 90%, hell its hard to notice 50% let alone anything that light

I know there is a DOT law about having not more than 4 headlights, including fog or driving lights, ON at one time. That is why 2nd gen Lincoln LS, from the factory, can't have highs, lows, and fog on at the same time because the lows stay on with the highs.

oh i though that the higher the number the darker

the number represents the percentage of light that can get through the tint, ie: 5% is way darker than 25%.
