I finally got my LS on a dyno in Phoenix last Thursday.
I got 303 rwhp out of the car on the 4th pull.
The car has 2200 miles on it and the following perf mods:
SCT Flash Tune / Torrey @ fastpartsnetwork
KKM intake adapter fed By eRam electric blower with KKM filter on eRam unit.
Goiters removed from plastic intake adapter.
Amsoil installed prior to dyno run.
1 can of VP octane booster in full take of gas.
Due to the expense of removing the intake and eRam unit seperatly to get individual dyno numbers I just ran my 4 pulls for $100 and got the best numbers, no tuning.
I know I am going to get slammed for the eRam unit....so be it, I wanted to see if it worked for myself! It does work, no question. But its minimal in what it adds. I would say 10HP? Before you bash me over the eRam unit....has anyone of you bashers ever forked over $600 to try the super eRam (basically two units in one)? Have you EVER held one? Here is the reason I ask....I bought this thing a year agon and it sat in my garage. I went out there two weeks ago and I wanted to see how much air it blows....I take my battery charger and hook it to the eRam leads and hold the eRam in one hand and plug the battery charger (12 volts) in with the other hand and the thing starts up and flys out of my hand and ACROSS THE garage, it slammed into the walls and dented the sheet rock! This is not a "fan" from homedepot! It sounds like a super high rpm jet engine!! It weighs 4-5 lbs and will easilly carry it's own weight in flight!!! Its got some thrust and cfm!! Its not what you think it is unless you have had one in your OWN hand!
Is it worth $600 for the double super eRam? No. I was hoping for bigger increase in power. But I have tested it and it works. Its a legit mod that will add some hp and it feels good on the seat of the pants. Pulling through the filter that comes with the KKM intake its QUITE loud when it turns on, but it sounds kinda swooshy until you let up off the gas. I don't reccommend it unless you got $600 to get a few HP.
I got over 300hp at the rear wheels with these mods on a new LS. I am happy with the results.
