So slim pickins at the U pull it place. A single FN10, a 93. It has aluminum driveshaft, I am hopefully going to be able to pull it (I am not sure if it is single piece or not, I forgot to check...darn). I have a pretty serious vibration when accelerating up to and over interstate speeds, but pretty smooth when cruising at those same speeds. Does my 97 have a steel or two piece aluminum shaft?

Will the wiper tray/cowl from it work on my 97? How about the defroster grille (piece on top of dash)? I have quite a few Continentals to pick a drivers exterior door handle from (none in Silver Frost, but at this point I want fully functional over praying I can get in). Also the wipers on my car are horrible, I have put on new blades and they both skitter across, even blades that work fine on other vehicles, so possibly the arms are bent, probably pick those up too.

I am trying to get my 89 Cougar back on the road so I can spend more time working on my 97 Mark, I can't more than a couple hours into it at a time due to needing to use it and no backup (89 Cougar and head gaskets, of course).

All were aluminum. 93's are 1 piece while 94+ were 2pc.

I'm pretty sure cowls aren't interchangable.. I just remember Sapper messing around with them on his half n' half. I could be wrong though.

Top dash panel is interchangable.

I finally found engineering numbers on the cowl pieces and the defroster grille on my car, and they are all F7xxxxxxxxx, so probably unique for 97 and 98.

I waffled about just grabbing the defroster grille, but not worth it if I am not sure it will fit.

So I grabbed:
1 piece driveshaft (38 bucks, more than I thought it would be, but that was also with yokes and u joints) It does NOT fit in the trunk with the yokes attached, so it got the passenger seat.
mn12 oem spoiler with CMLS (15 bucks, for my 89 Cougar as the Taurus lip spoiler doesn't really suite the Cougar like it does the Thunderbird)
89 Cougar grille (9 bucks)
85 Town Car grille (9 bucks, wall ornament for my father)
corner lights for 97 Cougar (10 bucks a piece)
headlights for 97 Cougar (20 bucks a piece)
drivers door handle for 97 Mark VIII (from a 96ish white pearl Continental, obviously not silver frost but functionally much better than what I have now)
DPFE for 89 Cougar (he didn't know what to charge me, so free)
swaybar mounts and hardware for 2000 Grand Marquis (free 245k miles and finally sick of lack of rear bar)
bolts for 89 Cougar dash (free)
hardware for cowl for 97 Mark VIII and 2000 Grand Marquis (free)
high amp fuse box cover for 89 Cougar (free)

What I didn't get, and will have to wait for:
fender, hood, grille, header panel, core support, bumper, bumper cover for wrecked 97 Cougar. They had one that was the right color, but pretty beat up, not worth it. I might make a hybrid Cougbird.
97/98 Mark VIII specific interior parts (defroster grille, ashtray cover)

Probably have to go to Phoenix to get this stuff, not many Mark VIIIs in the yards here.
