94 Lincoln Mark viii

I am new to this forum and am looking for parts for my 94 Mark viii. I need the engine cover and the drivers bottom chrome window trim.

Where are you located? Every so often local U-Pull yards will get MKVIIIs in; check them frequently.

Well you don't "need" the engine cover if you're talking about that plastic thing. I threw mine away.

We have a 97 sitting here at a local yard.
I believe the chrome trim is the same from 1993-98.

I believe the chrome trim has to be from a 93 or 94. Nothing else will fit.

the base side moldings on the door with the chrome strip are the same from 93-98. if that's what you are talking about.
for that matter, the ones without the chrome from LSC models are the same as well, just no chrome.

Luckily we got it today. Found a 94 at a yard.

Can anyone confirm that the Gen1 and Gen2 trim is either the same or different?

Good to know you got what you needed! I would like to know for future reference if someone else has the same issue!

its the same, even the door shell is nearly identical.
a bolt hole for the interior door is the difference i believe.

The interior side of the doors are slightly different between Gen 1 & 2. The top bolt hold of the interior door handle is about one inch further to the left on a Gen 2. If you swap Gen 2 interior door handles into a Gen 1 you need to drill a new hole.
