94 Mark VIII Convertible Progress Thread

i wet sanded and buffed a black 95 firebird wow was i nervous but when i was done oh my, it was like looking across a calm lake in the morning, black is scary!! i love a challenge, KK can do one side and i'll do the other lol.

Well, you do excellent work on your own cars. Especially the black 98! what products do you use? I have a 95 Pearlescent white and it has swirls, scratches and dings everywhere. I have some 3m rubbing compound, some fine compound and some machine polish. I don't know if I should use any of those.

Thanks! Yours was first one I saw on internet. I got a chance to buy this car from Jerry Lee Lewis! Only thing was I didn't know what a Lincoln Mark VIII was or looked like. I also did not know it was a convertible till after I had told guy to tell him I would buy it. When I started looking on internet to see what I had bought I could not find many. I really got interested in the cars look and styles! I thought how did I not ever pay much attention to these cars! They are great looking and the more I see these the more I look online on craigslist for them. I drove this car home about 175 miles from were I lived. It drove great! About 27 or 28 miles per gallon and plenty of power! Air worked great just no radio! I thought I bought a car from Jerry Lee Lewis and the stupid radio don't work! lol I went back couple days after and bought a 2005 Ford Thunderbird.I thought first time I went I get to see what else is in the barn for sale and was excited just on that! I got invited in and sit and his piano and they were very kind to me and my wife. These sites like these are great and have helped me learn a lot about these cars. Only problem is I don't have a garage and am selling both on Ebay. If one sells I will keep other . If both sale well made a little money. If both don't sale well will just enjoy these bad boys!

One if the guys on the Mark book enthusiast page on Facebook ran across your car on eBay and we've been oogling over it all week, lol.

I've always wanted a convertible Mark.

Beautiful car man and good luck with the sale.
