95 MK VIII fuel pump

Recently replaced fuel pump assembly in my 95 which functions fine with a full tank. But when fuel level is between 3/4 & 1/2, it starts missing like I'm almost out of fuel. The sending unit measures correctly in relation to fill ups, and the car is usually at 120-160 miles when it starts missing. Any ideas gang?

Did you replace the rubber hose in the tank?

If I were you I'd hook up a fuel pressure Guage, tape it to the window while you drive.
To observe pressure under all conditions.
