95 town car air conditioning

Hi, just got a 95 town car and the heater runs even the air conditioning is on. Anyone got any ideas? Thank you.

Sounds like a blend door problem to me... The blend door controls the mixture of cold/warm air coming into the car. When the blend door actuator decides to crap out it gets stuck in the same position and will not move. Thus, no matter what you adjust the temperature to, it will stay the same temperature as when it got stuck (crapped out, lol). I am not familiar with how the dash comes apart in a '95 T/C, but 99% chance what you need is the "blend door actuator"

Sounds like it might be the problem cause even when it's on vent it's hot. Thank you so much, I'll get my husband right on it

When I had to replace mine, the blower motor would only blow two speeds... slow, and FAST. All the other notches in between would not work as well. Is yours doing that?

Note: the blend door motor repair is very, very labor intensive.

Got out and buy a 2007 Town Car!
