96-98 cobra intake question.

I have the chance to put a cobra intake on the motor I'm gonna be swapping into my 97 Mark. I know it will bolt on, I also k ow it isn't a plug and play swap. My question is, what do I need to do to make it work, I think I read once that I need the mustang throttle cable because the Mark cable is too short. Is that true, also will the 97 IMRC plates work? Basically I need to k ow what has to be modified or what do I need to gather for parts to make it work. Thank you for any and all help.

I remember seeing this video from Mark VIII Addicts on YouTube that said the Mustang cable is too short, too, so she used a throttle cable from Lokar and a relocated Mustang cruise control module. This is a project I've considered myself, so if you document your efforts here, I'd certainly appreciate it.
