96 continental air suspension problems

Ok here is the problem, a few weeks ago someone had borrowed the car, the left it overnignt, and when they came out in the morning it was slammed all the way to the ground like a low rider. The compressor wouldn't activate when they key was turned on, even if the system was reset. I checked the main fuse, then I jumpered 12 volts to the compressor dirrectly with the key on and after about 2 minutes the back was jacked up pretty high. The compressor sounds good. The car has now been sitting for several days and the back is still jacked up.

So I am thinking its the controll box or relay, where are those parts located?

Does this sound plausible?

The front bags were replaced 2 years ago, before I got the car, and I have the reciept.

OK I found the relay, I would like to add that the check air suspension light comes on 90 seconds after startup.

Next question, why not replace this with a better stronger relay. I can get a relay rated to 60 Amps continuous, 120 peak for 10 dollars. This doesn't seem like a uniqly functioning peice.

Ok. I jumpered the relay and ran the car. only the rear goes up. Does that likley indicate that the front bags are leaking faster than the car can air them up, or that some kind of controll device is letting the air out faster than it can go in.
