97 headlight fogging up

Got fed up of pass headlight fogging up and producing condensation, and couldn't find the leak, so I smoke tested it.

Heres a link to youtube of the smoke pouring out of the join where the lens is glued. Amazed the hell out of me!

Duct taped it up temporarily and fogging not reappeared.
So, its off with the lens and I'm going bi xenon.

That was a good idea there. We've got a smoke machine at work, I need to test some of mine.

What did you use to stick the lens back on? If mine looks half as good as yours, I'll be happy.

I used butyl tape for windshields, just rolled it till it fit the channel.
It's not really tape but that's what they call it.

that's a damn good idea! Wish i thought of this with my old car, my 04 impala was in a front end accident and the body shop replaced both headlight lenses and every replacement headlight started leaking and caused condensation, I must have went through 4 or 5 different sets of headlights, I brought it back everytime it started fogging up and they replaced them for free..would have been nice to see where the hell water got in..
