I just picked up a 98 Continental a couple weeks back. Went to a friends house last night and it started up when I went to leave and then when I pulled out onto the road it sputtered and died. I could not get it running. I'm going to head back there and check fuses and the fuel shut off switch. If these are ok then I am guessing a fuel pump or clog in a line. What are the chances it is this? Is the fuel pump in the tank?
Also it was running a bit rough and hooked it up and it told me the 7th cylinder was mis-firing. I bought a new coil. Is the 7th cylinder in the back 2nd to last on the right?
TIA
