Well last week I'm driving to work and a jeep cuts in front of me. I step on the brakes and the pedal almost goes to the floor. I narrowlymiss rear ending the jeep. I pull over and sure enough I'm leaking brake fluid from the lines by the gas tank. I called unlined tube and they have no listing for the mark 8, I know some of you guys have gotten them in the past from them but I guess they don't keep the patterns. Anyone happen to buy a new set from them that you have laying around? Worst case scenario I guess I will bend up a set and flare them

I believe Gman has a rust free parts car. I bet the lines are still good on it.

Jd is no longer at inline tube. The first time I called the guy that picked up the phone outright said no we don't list them. I called back a second time and asked for jd and they told me hes not there. I told him what I was looking for and he said he'd call me back. I never got a call back so I called today and spoke with Jake who said they don't carry them and the newest car they stock lines for is a 89-95 sable.

Bulk roll 3/16" brake line...I prefer this stuff called armour coat
Line flaring kit
2-3/16" high pressure unions with nuts
Reuse nuts at rear flex hoses

Make new lines cut towards front as lines are most likely still good and splice in with unions all the way to rear flex hoses...I've done so many mark viiis, cougars and tbirds this way I can do job in under a hr

Compression fittings on a brale system?

No thanks.

X2 But I think he means a union where 2 brake lines screw into to become one. To the OP why not like mentioned just make your own lines. Mine blew right where yours did. I just ran new line and double flared up front where line looked brand new.

I had the main one break going to back so I just replaced everything from front to back. Took a line off and bent one just like it, put it back on and continued till I was done. I also had to double flair, 6' length's were all I could find.

This is what I meant and there is nothing wrong with that style of union thanks....no where did I say a compression union

Did J not send lines to them so they could make the pattern or CNC program for the bender? DLF in turn ordered and received a couple of sets. There is a thread on LOD about these lines and what they went through to get Inline Tube to start making them again.

Kinda funny as my first line that blew out on me in 1988 was on my '69 F100 with a 390 Mercury powering it. Going down steep hill blew out front line and only had back brakes but at least it was a 25mph road.

Second was a '81 Fairmont Stick 12k on the clock and lost front brake line at 60mph taking River Road turn towards Rutgers. That was a hop curb sideways in grass use E-brake to get it stopped

So far all Ford products have split brake lines on me but I know my '89 C1500 is close to loosing the front hard lines. At least there are lots of kits to replace those

And that's what I told them, I said other members have ordered several sets from inline. They Dident seem to care
. Worst case scenario I will make my own lines, though I wanted to avoid it.

These are the two links to the In LIne Tube threads and these brake lines.

Maybe if someone calls them again they can use dates to get them to look and see that they have the pattern and can in fact do business with the Mark community again.

Feel free, I spoke with Jake the second time. I also told him that they were purchased from them in the past.
