1998 LINCOLN MARK VIII LSC

HISTORY: Purchased from Jerry Porter Lincoln in Raleigh, NC in May of 2005. This Lincoln dealer had purchased it from Ford Motor Co. when it was one year old. It had been a Ford Exec. Lease car. They then sold it to a woman customer in 1999. She kept it garaged at her North Carolina home. The Lincoln dealer did all of her maintenance and upkeep. To our knowledge it has not seen a Michigan winter. We have stored it in the winter, as we winter in the south.

MILAGE: 103,000

COLOR: Lincoln ivory with white leather interior

ENGINE: 4.6L DOHC V8. 290 HP & foot lbs of torque

TRANSMISSION: 4 speed automatic

FUEL ECONOMY: Factory rating is 17/26. We have always averaged between 23 & 24 mpg.

FACTORY FEATURES: This Mark VIII LSC must have most factory features except for a sunroof. It did not have a multiple CD changer or remote start but both were added for the previous owner by the Lincoln Dealer with aftermarket equipment.

TRAILER HITCH: We added a trailer hitch package to pull our small covered trailer with music equipment. We probably hauled it a total of 300 miles (locked out of overdrive ay about 50 mph).

TINTED GLASS: We had the side windows tinted darker.

WHEELS: We added 17inch custom wheels and Continental tires for looks. I have the factory chrome wheels with mounted that go with the car.

GENERAL CARE: We have really babied this car as did the previous owner. Expressway speed for us is always below the seed limit. We have always kept it up very well & had it serviced about every 2500 miles. While the photos may make this car look more pristine than it really is, it is real nice. It still drives like a new car.

UPKEEP

• Complete new parts and rebuild on air conditioning system in 2006 (about $1400).
• Transmission flush by Ford in 2006
• New battery in 2005
• New brakes in 2007
• Four new ball joints and front alignment in 2007
• Brake rotors turned in 2009

ROUTINE MAINTANENCE: Switched to Mobile 1 synthetic oil as soon as I bought it. The oil has been changed about every 2500. The spark plugs were changed in 2005 and again in 2008. On the most recent change, I had them put anti-seize on the threads to avoid and bonding with the aluminum heads.

PRICE: $5000

or $5900 and you get an additional 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC (with a 98 LSC motor). This Lincoln is not as pristine and is not drivable due to a huge transmission leak.

Its actually my fathers car, and he really takes care of his stuff. Its been overly babied....he drives about 60 mph on the highway.

not my color either but damn it looks sharp! good luck on the sale it is a very clean mark.

The carpet is all original. The picture contrast must be playing tricks with the shades as they do match, but it doest appear so in the pictures. My parents are playing music more and more often, and needed something with enough space to haul all their gear (including my mom's upright bass) without having to haul a trailer all the time. They ended up getting a new Ford Flex. The Mark is bigger than my mom wants to drive (she drives a little escort wagon), so the Mark has to go.
They've had the mark for probably 5 years now. They bought it with 50k on it, and have used it mostly for long trips across the country as they are both retired. It has sat in the garage most of the time as they tend to drive the escort more as they could haul instruments in it, or they would take their motorhome if they were going to a music festival or something.

you got maintenance records?can i get vin for carfax?where exactly are you located? How many miles from central illinois you think?

I'm sure my mother, who keeps crazy records, has all the records of the car. If you call the number, dad will give you the vin to run for a carfax. Its about a 2.5 to 3 hr drive to chicago (depending on how fast you drive) if that gives you an idea. Zip code is 49677 if you want to mapquest it.
