Hi everyone,
I have a 99 Lincoln Navigator and just recently has the service engine soon light come on. So the very next day, I'm driving around and I approach a red light...I'm there for about 25 seconds and then my car just dies out completely. Talk about confused... LOL. Mind you the truck turns back on, but I'm stuck driving wondering what my truck is gonna do next.
A couple days later I took it to the dealership to get it diagnosed and they said I had to replace my Oxygen sensors and my idle air control valve. After the diagnostic test, I was stuck driving the truck for 2 days before I could get it in the shop and those two days had me shaking in my boots. Everytime I would stop, the rpm would stay then go down, stay then go down...it was getting extremely annoying so I got the work done. The O2 sensors were replaced along with the idle air control valve.
Now I just got it out of the shop and the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light is still on. What should I do next? I only drove it about a mile down the street back to my apartment but what if the same problem occurs when I drive again and the rpm's keep going up and down until the truck just completely stops? What should I do about the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light? Can somebody help me? I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks
