I am curious where the gas tank is located? I am installing a stereo and want to make sure I dont drill in to the tank when mounting the amps.
99 Towncar gas tank.

It is between the rear axle and the trunk. You can look behind your rear wheels and see it.
Please, for the love of everything, DO NOT DRILL ANYTHING into the VERTICAL WALL in your trunk. I will take a pic tomorrow, when it's daytime, explaining this. I had this happen to a buddy of mine. He used drywall screws to mount his relays and punctured his gas tank.

I had an amp rack built that fits snug on top of the vertical wall in the trunk and have no issues. I'll take a pic, today

Behind back side of the box is the fuel tank.

I can send you the measurements if you like. It fits snug in the gap between the two pieces the trunk is mounted to. I have no issues with it moving.

That is huge.
I don't put big speakers/ systems in my cars. I neef my cargo room.
Plus where the amp sits, is where my hockey sticks go!

I know right, lol. And I travel in an Acura 3.2TL, this is more of my competition car. It will probably get stripped down before the new year.
