I have a 2000 v-8 ls and when I start it up, warm or cold, it will rev to about 2500 rpm, this seems excessive, is there a tsb for this like the tranny shifting problem, which I need to do. Also does anyone know who manufactures the mystic brand of wheels?

when i first start it, it will rev to about 2500 and then slowly work its way down to an idle, it just seems like an excessive rpm, i can see 1500 rpm or so but 2500?

heres a pic of the rims im trying to find the maker for

hey :W I also have this problem with my ls6 it will rev up to aroudn 2500 and then slowly idle back down (only when its cold)(Cold in FL to my car is anything under 60)

2500 Sounds excessive. Anyone ever played with the base idle? If not, it's a software problem and will need to be corrected by the dealer.

LSs have a system to heat up the Catalytic converters quickly. Mine goes to about 2000-2200 RPM for a minute, then drops to normal RPM. It should only do it when the Cats are cold.

GWL is right. For emissions, the LS is programmed to warm the catalytic converters quickly, so the REVZ start at about 2500. Immediately after starting, mine goes to about 2500 for about 15 seconds then drops down to about 1500.
