My ac pully has been making noise for about a month now but it has avg. –10 so I put it off until today I think I got lucky it didn’t fail

I had the same thing happen on a 1993 Town Car of mine. Once I took it off the car, it just fell apart. Junk yard compressor fixed it.

yeah that happened to mine, I went to the junkyard and pulled one off of an old crown vic with a 4.6, mine was making so much noise I could not take it anymore.. was like a rattle and the belt looked like it was going to fall off.. its pretty easy to swap out..

do you need a compressor? i have a brand new one off a mark VIII. the whole ac was just redone in the car then i tore it apart!

The ac doesnt work but you need a good pully and this summer I will get it fixed I think I just need a new condenser
