Well the big weekend is coming up at Cordova next weekend (see midwest chapter thread), So I Mounted and balanced up some new tires on the stock wheels to save weight. I actually painted them a couple years ago, but never put them on. I decided to take some pics while I had both the Lincolns out. Whatcha think?

The pic of the interior is for you Brandon. Enjoy.

First, I really love your hood. Second, I would never have guessed how sharp those rims would look painted black against a red car. It is stunning. I have those rims w/ snow tires on my black '94. Mine need real work though. Did you paint/refinish them yourself? If so so, what all did you have to do? Gary in Elmira, NY.

Cool!

I was wondering if you were going to loose the heavys to race.

I'm thinking I'm going to pass on the event though. Kinda far and my wife will be out of town, gotta hold the fort.

the black snowflakes look awesome!!
that sux 02asdfghjkl but i understand, thats a haul. espically when your headed home in the early am. the last one we went to MWB and i left around 2:30 (doesnt actually end till 4am) and that was a long ride home for me, and im alot closer than you

I was going to grab a hotel. Still just a combination of it being far and a bad weekend for it.

I taped off the parts i wanted silver, scuffed the rest with red scotch brite, spray can primer, and spray can black. Cleaning between each step of course. They aren't perfect, but i was actually going to scrap them and though what the heck, so i painted them.

I still like the other wheels better, but it is a good look.

I never liked the snowflakes painted black imho.
Your car looks great as always, those wheels just aren't my cup of tea ;)
They will be good for the weight saving if your going to the drags for sure. I need to find a set too that are nice and light to clear the Cobra brakes on mine. I'm hoping to take my car to the track this weekend, but it will have the huge heavy 20's on it

It's getting weird though, I was just looking at Town car like yours to replace my crappy Escort for the winter and work (I almost bought one last year, but the mileage was way to high,) and I'm aiming to make my Mark very similar to yours. :shifty:

I think that looks great. I bet it wouldn't work as well if it weren't tinted.. There aren't many Mark VIIIs I'd take over my 93, but I think yours is one of them.

k9t8m, I think I'm gonna give it a shot on painting mine also. BTW, thx. for the instructions. Would a deep red look good on my black '94? I'm trying to imagine them. Anything would look better than how they are now. Especially since they only wear snowtires. Gary in Elmira, NY.

Love Gen 1's and really love a black inside. I can get mine to shine unlike any other. My inside is the same but the stereo deck (mine is stock) But my LSC doesnt have the wood on steering wheel what was that all about how did you do that

LOVE IT!!! That car is just plain AWESOME! I've got a '96 that is almost the same color and I'm going to go home and paint my wheels just like that. Only I'm going to paint mine body color. Your car is seriously cool!!!

so what kind of headunit do u have in the ride? im looking to purchase a double din very soon im picky and on a budget you know
