when i tuen on my AC cold air only comes from the passenger side vents while the drivers side vents still blow out hot air is there any quick fix for this....can i take it to the dealer an they take care of it because of a warranty...

any help would be appreciated

An 03 I demod did this exact thing. They replaced everything to do with the A/C $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

The problem you describe is usually due to partial failure of the DCCV. It will have to be replaced.

yes mine failed completely... very easy repair! cost a 170 buck for the DCCV tho

I had this issue when I purchased my car in april of 08, it did this like twice the first month I got it....it has never done it since. i think i held the blue arrow down until it just said 60 on the drivers side. and then I turned the car off, then back on. and it worked ...i dunnoo why it only acted up twice. it was really pissin me off the first time it happened.

It will happen again... when you most need your AC it will fail you :(
Just get that part replaced now.

mine is doing the same. What is the dccv?

dual climate control valve (DCCV)... it is like two electric motors that open and close a valve that controls the coolant flow to your dual heater cores... when they stick open the a/c isnt cold enough to over come the 200+ degree engine heat so no more AC, just heater!

very easy to change... did mine in 45 minutes... and that counts bleeding the coolant system

so what would you recommend i do about it... i dont want to get caught in a hot car with no AC it is getting warm outside

dccv

I have been looking in the manual and have called a few dealers. Is it called the heater control valve? Is it located on the passager side by the radiator and fan shroud?

Yes, it is also known by that name, and that is the correct location.
