The discount isn't usually for oil. I've bought a lot of quality parts from Advance : TRW, Moog... They have lots of options from cheap to name brand.

I put 8 borg warner coils from advance on my LS, The fact that they have lifetime warranties more than makes up for the fact that they might not be as good as Ford parts.

I know this has been said so I will "beat the dead horse" here. I would not use those coils. Even WITH a lifetime warranty, proving the coil failed marginally (which is what WILL happen) is next to near impossible. Marginal coils kill cats, which cost upwards of $1,200 each OEM. Do yourself the favor, buy OEM coils. Advance auto is good for car wash stuff, oil, wipers, stuff like that.

You'd be surprised at the number of PMs I received regarding that... such as "Come across any codes for lower amounts than $125?" etc. There was a day where people would pay what they should pay to maintain the car, now its all about keeping costs down and driving the car into the ground... shame.
