So i, my lincoln ls recently, so far its been hell, lights going on and off everywhere, plug in the obd2 thing it says everything is fine, besides that i wanted to put my sub in my car, so my car doesnt have the stock amp or sub or anything, and i put in a aftermarket cd player for the time being (have double din touchscreen on the way) so i can run my sub well turns out that it wont even work, its all hooked up properly and everything, but it wont work i have my deck set sayinig it has a sub and all that but barley anything goes to it ive tried different amps and subs and still nothing barley anything noticeable coming outta the sub, its grounded great, and everythign so i dont understand why its not getting any power, it worked fine in my other car and still does, it would be rather pointless if i cant get it going espically since i cut my 4 gauge shorter because of the battery in the trunk, any ideas

well since your sure that it is hooked up correctly, and you have tried different amps and subs, there is either a problem with the RCA cables, or the radio not actually out putting the sound.

ive tried different amps subs and decks actually and still nothing barley even coming out with the gains on the amp set high

You def have it hooked up wrong. Sounds like you need to bring to a professional because its pretty standard to put an aftermarket stereo in a LS. Good luck

and just to make sure that you didn't make a silly rookie mistake, you've said that some sound is coming out but not much, double check to make sure that one of the subs is not hooked up backwards, if just one sub is out of phase, its sound will cancel out most of the sound coming from the other sub.

gain on the amp?
not enough power? check RMS ratings of subs...
not getting enough power to your amp? (wrong sized wiring)
etc etc. every problem in audio has got an answer!
