Over now, but in Indiana, you can get a affidavit from the license bureau. The person who screws up the title fills it out, has it notarized, and the DMV staples it to the screwed up title and issue a registration to the new owner. I am sure your state must have a similiar law, as people tend to not read directions...........lol.
