Air bag light...

I've got an air bag light. When you start the car the air bag light will flash 3 times, then six times, then three, then six until you get driving down the road then the light just stays on. I don't recall if it flashes 6 times and then 3 or vise versa.

Personally, I'd just assume the air bags not work at all but it would be nice to eliminate the annoying light.

What does this number of flashes indicate?

Code 36, possibly one of your airbags is disconnected because of chaffed.

What kind of car is this? Year? Model?

This is a 2000 towncar exec series.

So check the wiring to each bag?

There are side bags on the side of the seats I noticed.

Could be any one of them?

Possibly a sensor as well?

Again, to be honest, I'd just assume they never go off. I survived 20 years on the streets of detroit without getting a broken nose. I'd sure hate to get one in a walmart parking lot in a 5 mph fender-bender! LOL

But I may fix her up and see her. In that case an air bag light doesn't look good to a perspective buyer.
