Air Intake Sensor Mod

I saw this ad on Ebay and was wondering if its actually a good upgrade that does what it says. Does anyone have one of these or know anything about them? I figured this would be the best place to ask since you guys all seem to know alot about the LS.

It's a waste of money. It supposedly tricks the sensor thinking the air is cooler than it is. I wouldn't was your money on it.

it looks like an every day resitor, cant tell the ohms on it but in theory it could work, by increasing the resistance of the signal the magnitude of the signal decreases therefore the computer make the injectors increase flow to the engine=> richer mixture if your ignition system can burn hot enough through out the whole power band, but then again if the resistance is too much then it will just flood out your engine, and this all based off of the theory that the signal amps are indirectly proportional to mass air flow. and if ur willing to try screwing your engine up u might just want to go ahead and invest in a multimeter and figure out what the ideal resitence would be an pick up your own "power improving" resistore from your local radio shack for about $2.99 a dozen. but dont take my word im just a nuclear engineer, lol.

do not bother - this was a trick used back befor ethe PCM controlled everything. We used to take out the IAT sensor - stick it in the freezer for 30mins - then measure the ohms - then replace it with a matching resistor.

It will not take long for the PCM to adjust the change out and you'll be back to normal.
