Akebono Brake Pads???

I'm in need of replacing my front brake pads so my local speed shop hooked my up with some PowerSlor Front Rotos and some Akebono Brake Pads... and I wanted to know if anyone here had Akebono Brake Pads on their LS.

I've never heard of Akebono pads but I do have PowerSlot rotors on my LS and I like them very much.

I think the tire rack carrys them. I have never use them myself.

I put the Akebono Brake Pads (Euros) on F&R last summer with new factor rotors, I have had no problems with them. They seem to stop better than stock, and the real plus is NO DUST. I have not had to power wash my rims since!

I've had Akebono ceramic pads (Tire Rack) on the front for about a year with stock rotors. They are not as good as the stock pads when cold, but are better than stock when warmed up. As mentioned, no more dust to clean off the wheels.

Great performance

After only 28k miles I had to replace front pads and rotors. Their was quite a high ridge on the outside of the rotor.
Lincoln must use soft metal rotors for some reason.
Anyway I've been using a combination of Powerslot cyro rotors and Akebono Euro pads with great results so far.

My 03 Explorer also has been running a set for the last 20k miles. No squealing or warping. Great wear.
