Almost There!

I do have a leak (oil pan). Checked oil. It's full. It came on a couple of times in the past. Stop signs, drive thru. Intermittent. Now it's constant. Anything below 1250 RPM will trip it. On a totally unrelated?? note, I installed an amp this weekend. The cold start problem was really bad this morning. Wouldn't be electrical problem maybe, causing low idle when cold? I didn't think it was going to get out of the driveway and down the lane this morning, but all at once it just took off.

Well, then I think that it is either a bad pressure switch (unlikely, but not impossible) or your engine is shot. You may want to take a sample of oil from your engine and have it analyzed. The report would show if there is too much metal (from the engine) in the oil.

Normal idle is about 750 RPM. You should have to go below 500 RPM to turn the oil light on.
Low idle could be the IAC, but an air/vacuum leak may be a more likely cause.

Doesn't have IAC.

That's right, I forgot you had a gen II. Air/vacuum leak or MAF are the most likely suspects. However, there's not much point to investigating that if the engine is shot.

Unplugged battery to do some other work. Also located sensor and re-seated it. Hasn't came back on yet. Go figure. Runs like a champ other than when temp is

Cleaned MAF. Changed a few of the vacuum hoses already. I suspect you are right about vacuum though. Shakes all over and it's like something kicks in and it will run great after that. It only needs to warm up a few minutes or be driven and it runs good. I have heard of people using carb cleaner to check for vacuum leaks. Can anyone confirm this procedure?

I'd use throttle body cleaner instead. Carb cleaner may eat some coatings. Less messy is to use an unlit propane torch.

Also, I read somewhere that someone changed this part on theirs and it fixed it. Symptoms similar to mine. It appears to be some sort of valve. It is attached to the intake and the brake booster. Can anyone identify what this is called?

No, don't unplug any sensors.
That's the "brake vacuum supply manifold." The part in the middle is some sort of valve. I think that it selects whichever vacuum is greater, the connection at the intake manifold or the connection at the throttle body. The manifold vacuum is higher at idle and cruising. The intake connection is higher at full (and near full) throttle. The assembly (valves and hoses) is 3W4Z-9C490-AJ. It's about $30.

The reason I asked is because when the rough idle is extreme, the brake booster doesn't work.

100+ miles since that oil pressure light came on. Guess it was a fluke hopefully. Going to try and get out tomorrow morning and check with throttle body cleaner for vacuum leaks. I wonder if that valve is working the way it is intended.:Bang:q

Good news!!!! Replaced lower manifold gaskets. Problem solved. Was 39 degrees this morning and it held a steady idle of ~1000 RPM then down to ~750. So happy!! :Beer

I would like to give a big thanks to all of you here for your advice and support! You guys are the best. I still have a few more issues with the car to work out, but this one was a biggie. Again, you all rock! :V

Congrats on fixing that issue. Could be me, could be the video cameras mic, but that motor does NOT sound very healthy. To me, sounds like a little knockin' going on. Hope I am wrong.

Took a trip to Lexington KY today and back. About 240 miles. Car did fine. I hope you are wrong also!

Cleaned this out. Still no exhaust pressure coming out of that side. Maybe the muffler or resonator is clogged. Geesh! Moral of the story. Don't let those misfires go long!
