After the first pass she over heated alittle from an air bubble. I thought it was cool enough to pull the crossover to fill and the darn cap blew off into the woods! GONE.(stupid) Had to drive home get my spare drive back and clean car and refill. That blew. This is the last run and the "one"

I understand. Great run. So is that your best run ?? I got 13.16 @ 101mph vs Drillers 13.11 @ 104mph

See how different people can take one thing different ways on the net. When you stated "I got 13.16" I thought you where stating "you" got 13.16 lol

Nice pass, Frank!

Are you also going to post the time slip? I'd like to see the details.

I hope you didn't take that literal I was ribbin you.

No I understand the competitiveness with those you are closest to in times and mph. Trunk Monkey from TCCOA and I have a rivalry going we met in Fayetteville last November. He was a couple 10ths quicker than us so we did a little work on it and met him there again the next weekend. We beat him once but it was at the light. He was a 10th quicker. We did some more work that week and went again the next weekend. Trunk Monkey couldn't make it that weekend but we ran more than 1/ 10th quicker than his best time. I would say we are still friends but I can tell it is eating at him and he has got snippy with me at times. He has done some work on his and I'll bet he will beat my record this November. But thats half the fun of it. The last weekend when Trunk Monkey didn't come I had trouble getting anyone to run against me :shifty: thats why my fastest run was solo.

Thanks Doug. I know you will be coming after me and I will have to step it up even more! The competition here between us has only made all of us faster. It will also show that some of us are maximizing every thing out of our cars when all the fastest times will be very close. Just like in pro-stock. I just took pics of the fastest slip lets see if we can read it here.

How much of a difference do the fats n skinnies make for you?
My 275 fronts feel ridiculous

I can't really say just with these. I did alot of mods not just fats and skinnies. But one reference is on 17 inch nitto 555's 245/45's I 60 fted 1.810 so pretty close to the M/T's 1.77. I really need to do 4.30 or 4.56's to make up for the 26 inch tall M/T's only N/A though.

What are you running besides your custom long tubes, ram air intake, stall and gears?

Great run, Frank! :Beer

BTW, I thought that getting left hanging in suspense like that was a funny touch. :D

1) 4.10's and posi -- used payed $15 to take them , used free
2)9.5 inch PI 3200 converter-- used 220 then Circle D upgrade 380 total $600
3) Diablo chip-- used $195
4) C&L MAF with 9 inch K&N filter --used $68 new $32
5) March Ram Air setup-- used $50
6) BBK 1 5/8 long tube headers-- used $147 total
7) full 2.5 mandrel exhaust with 2 in 2 out internal X muff-new $237 used $60
8) Nitto 555R drag radials-- used $195
Total comes out to $1569 and most of that was converter.
This was my old run down some have changed.

How high can you rev yours on the starting line ??

To tell the truth its a hard time looking/seeing while trying to go str8. LOL I flash it as high as I think she will go. I thought I saw 4,000 on the flash but not 100% sure. Kid across street has a GoPro which I will borrow and strap in the car. What about you?

Congrats Frank! In reference to the question earlier, I'll bet 2 solid tenths from the draglites and front runners. Well done!

On a sidenote, enjoy it while it lasts. DLFs trap speed should make you a bit nervous. ;)

Thanks. Nothing makes me nervous its all part of the game.

I guess I should have asked what rpm can you power brake yours to. My old converter was a 3,800 stalls but a few mouths ago we put in a new one from Alan at Dirty Dog that he said would be more like a 4,200. But both of them will only let me rev it a little over 2,500 rpms while power braking it before it will either start spinning the rear wheels or starts pushing it.

I have not tried power breaking it yet because I figured it would do what your stating. I want to try power braking and see what I can get out of her. I only got 3 passes in. You think about getting a trans brake?

I bet it would make mine almost a half a second quicker but it probably would start breaking things.

Very nice.

I've got to work on my 60' times to beat you.

And I'll be running street wheels/tires in the front. :(
