Angel Eye kits for sale on Ebay from LVC? UPDATED 5/25

i'll do it for my gen 1 if I can get the red LEDS for my rings :-D

I'd be down for a group buy next month...anytime of the month :-D

They just responded & said the $350 is labor only.

So $350 plus the cost of the rings which they sell for $199 on ebay puts you at $549. Below is a copy of an email that they sent me back in 08 on what was covered for $499.

this project is very complicated and time consuming, We will need about 7-10 days

what will include
clear or smoked reflectors
angel eyes, wired
color matched

$499

Dang and I thought they had lowered they price to get more buyers. Just send them to me and 100 for labor, I could do them in a day plus a day to completly dry and then ship out that night. ;)

I may have to do that have you done them for anyone else on here before? Also you don't have the kits already do you?

Haven't done anybody's but mine yet. 3 people messaged me saying they would send them to me over the summer when I had time to do them, which is now until september. I dont have kits, i just bought the kit to do mine. You can just buy them from lightwurks on ebay or from lightwurks directly from their website. Make sure you get the right ones becuase a member just messaged 2 days ago saying he thought they sent them the wrong ones, he described them to me and yup, wrong ones. He told them he had an 03(gen2) and they send him 00-02(gen1) rings. A lot of places list 03 as a gen1 so be careful. This is the ebay kit from lightwurkz for gen2 headlights

Good information...what is the difference?

I might have to take you up on your offer to do the work. Would you be able to replace the amber reflector, too?

I might take you up on that! I got my rings in like 6 weeks ago and never seem to have the time to sit down and do the work...

What is the differece in what? In gen1 gen2 rings? Gen1 rings are not full circles and both the low and high beam bowls are about the same size. Gen2 rings, one is a full circle for the obviously smaller high beam circle and on is not a full circle for the bigger low beam bowl.

Or you mean difference between lightwurkz on ebay and lightwirkz on their website? Just that ebay you click buy it now, pay and they arrive a few days later. If you want to order from their website you'll have to email them and get everything done like that or call them. It's the same people. It's like me offering to co the angel eyes work on ebay or on here, same things, they're both me.

I dont know what kind of reflector they use, if they use a real one and it's just clear or they use something else. But I was going to do it to mine and was going to cut a piece out of that cover sheet that goes with the flourescent bulb lights. I could swap it out, snap some pics and show you how it looks, if you like it, i'll leave it, if you dont, I'll leave the amber one. You can also tint the amber one.

Dont you already have angel eyes?

what i don't get is why the lightwurks ones are so expensive? when i got my CCFL rings they were like 60 shipped from ebay and were of great quality. they were for a beamer and they fit like a glove. the only thing i've had to do is change the invertors twice in about 3 years.

Well how bright are they in the day? I also bought ccfl rings for cheap for my fog lights, 32 bucks shipped. They looked good but they were not as bright as the LED rings I have on now. The lightwurkz rings as made by umnitza. They are suppose to be really good quality and I can see that from the LED rings I bought.

The LED rings are unbeatable in terms of brightness/clarity. It gives the LS a luxury look, not only at night, but during the day in full sun.

+1

have you stared at the headlight at night and then locked the car? I tried it once in a dark street and it almost blinded me.lol.

Yea I once @ night, told my friends to look back and see just how low my car really is, once they all looked I unlocked the car and blinded everyone. Haha

Nice. I'll have to try that.

guys, they are just as bright. mine can be seen bright as hell during the day. i'm not sure what the big deal is but hey, if you want to keep paying way more for rings that came from computer technology, which in reality are extremely cheap in the first place, then by all means keep paying the higher price tag. to each his own.

I do in my current Gen1 lights, but I've got a set of Gen2 lights ready to go in whenever I get the rings installed....

Oh ok, cool. I was thinking of doing that too, buying an extra set, so I wouldn't have to be without lights at night if it took too long, but I was ok. Thats why i did one at a time.

They may be visible in the day, but no way are they as bright as the led rings. You can't understand how bright they are until you see them in person. You should attend a CA meet if there is ever one again, you're real close to me, I would like to see your rings and ls.

for sure. i haven't gone to a meet for a while. my car has been neglected like no ones business, lol. i just have so many other hobbies that i never really stick with one thing. now whenever i get a good amount of money i spend it somewhere else. but anyway, if we meet, you will see that the ccfl's are really bright as well. maybe if yours are as bright as you say, then maybe mine will be dim comparatively. but the way i see it is, do i really want to pay the extra cash for brighter rings that i can already see in the daylight? my answer to that is no, but others might see the it differently.

Good point. We'll have to see. Also heard that CCFL rings burn out and dont last that long, led are suppose to be the only set you'll need
