to all who posted replies to my earlier thread thanks.here is update i have found that car can sit idling in drive seems forever before getting hot yet on the road only takes maybe 10 15 minutes.if run ac takes much longer but still gets hot.used a raytek on radiator and found bottom around 70 top 160.cant find my pressure tester so havent tested that yet but none visible any suggestions

Do you see/hear cooling fan come on/off? After car sits overnight is reservoir low? How many miles on car?

Seems like its gotta be a cooling fan problem. The when you turn the a/c on it should automaticly kick the fan on. If you have a bad coolant temp sensor, maybe the fan is not being commanded on .?

fan comes on when car reaches temp and stays on if ac is on im at aloss as of now only thing left is to pressure test and compression test. im baffled car runs to good other than the overheating.by the way it has 100,00 miles on it

check for debris between the radiator and the ac condenser, if thats clear then id put money on the rad...

solved

pressure tested and found leaking intake gasket fixed and runs great.
