Any trick to remove front drivers upper control arm rear nut???

not getting defensive or bitchy, just stating that people come on here all the time begging to be spoon fed and cry for help, then you put it out there, and then the others come out of the wood work and re-invent the wheel. then people like myself as many other members here who have an enormous wealth of knowledge on these cars get sick and tired of trying to help people who dont want to listen, or just want to sit and argue or take the threads somewhere out into left field, then we stop posting help, and then everyone cries that all the knowledgable guys are ass holes because they wont help anymore, its a downward spiral. one i have given up on in this forum. i just like to come here and be a total dick now since half the people here have gone that route as well, its kind of fun. and i dont drink, dont need booze to calm me down. being a dick on here works good enough!!!

Everybody knows how to build a better mouse trap - just ask them!

That's why when I try to help, I just put out there the way to do it (that I have done and works for me), and if ppl have a better way, more power to them. Doesn't hurt my feelings.

You should have seen the ppl coming out telling me I was doing it the hard way when I bought that rear end from you. It was totally easy - remove exhaust, driveshaft, & brake lines, loosen gas tank, unbolt old, raise car on lift, slide out old and in new, rebolt everything back up. Everybody told me it would have been easier to put the pumpkin in the Bird, then the LCA's, then the disc brakes, instead of doing the whole thing as one unit. I really can't see how?!?

like you said if their way works fine, i just try to save people time thats all, some people like spending hours on a 15 minute job, i dont!

Who's arguing? Not me. I'm just saying the way I did it worked fine for me. So what if it took a little more time. I wasn't in a big hurry. I had all day (it only took about an hour for both sides, though:D). You do it your way, I'll do it mine. Both work. No need to get your undies in a twist over it.:p Like my ol' grandpappy used to say: "There's more than one way to skin a cat"...

who's getting their panties in a twist??? lol can you see me over here at my house do you know what i am thinking, am i mad when i am typing you keep saying stuff like i am pissed off and mad that your way worked too, who cares. you like spending all day on your repairs, fine the other members here who like to milk repairs can try it your way, the others who want to hurry up because they have busy lives and have :q:q:q:q to do like myself, dont have all day to play games with a car so i suggested my way, they can take thier pick its that simple. let me go untwist my panties now so i can calm down because i am all worked up.

Its ok. I'm in lube tech school. I can change oil with the best of them.

thats pretty much all i can do too. although my first motor swap alone with no help was nearly 19 years ago so unless you know my age you cant figure how young i was. its was great having an A.S.E cert uncle and a father who was a gear head when i was little, it taught me very little. thats why i havent paid a dime to have a vehicle of mine fixed since i was about 18

These forums suck. I just posted complete instructions on UCA, and it puked it...
