like it says, anybody know what maunal seat tracks would work without major modifications? ive replaced the drivers seat track once because of a burned up motor and the replacement wasnt much better. then i got lucky a couple months ago when found a black interior out of another mark to replace my tan interior and now the motors are crapping out again. im not wanting to rebuild/ clean the motors, id much rather find a set of black leather seats with manual seat tracks. im thinking about some seats out of a v6 mustang.

Mustang tracks won't work .Look for 89-97 T-bird or Cougar ones.

Let us know how things work out, jrherald. I would love to one day lose the worst electric seats I have ever come across.

no problem, im going to start looking for a set of seats next week. im also going to get a quote on having the seats reskined along with the rear.

I'm going to go manual as soon as I can afford the seats I want... Recaro's baby!

KK,
Is this in your budget.

we sell Recaros at my work, I sat in one of the Ergomed seats, with electronic controls, I wasn't very impressed

I,m installing seats from a 99 Cougar in mine..Just in the middle of doing it..If i can get my ass in gear..Lost interest in working on the car for a few months now..

Its not a major undertaking doing this..Drill a few new holes for the seat tracks and a little trim here & there...Then i,ll take it to work and Mig the new studs to the floor boards and volla...20lbs lighter per seat..And they are way more supportive then the boat anchors that came in the car..And they match really well to the factory colour of the interior..

Kinda glad this isn,t my dailly driver..It would be hard driving with a milk crate.....
